HE CHOSE « CROSSBONES » FOR HIS COMEBACK ON TV
We all know the talented John Malkovich, we are used to seeing him in cult movies like Dangerous Liaisons or Changeling. Now, he comes back to basics with a role in a TV show, where he began his career.
As a matter of fact, Malkovich did begin his incredible career on television and now, after the huge success of Educazione Siberiana, he decided to be a part of the TV show Crossbones, based upon the story of “The Republic of Pirates”, a novel written by Colin Woodard.
The tale takes place on the island of new Providence in the Bahamas in 1715. This unique place of piracy, theft and outlaws is reigned by the fearsome prate captain Edward Teach (Malkovich) known as Blackbeard. But a scheme has been designed to throw Blackbeard from his throne. An assassin, Tom Lowe, is sent with the task to execute the pirate leader. However, as Lowe moves closer towards Blackbeard, he starts to admire his ideas and involvement in the rogue society. And of course, Lowe will not be Blackbeard’s only enemy.
In the meantime, we will be able to see Malkovich in the movie Red 2, soon in theaters.
