Critics’ Choice Awards and Razzies: nominations

WINNERS AND NOMINEES TO THOSE AWARDS (YEARNED OR NOT) THAT PRECEDE THE OSCARS EVENT 

It’s time of award ceremonies for the last movie season. In anticipation of the 2014 Oscars where excitement for nominations and inevitable controversy rule, winners of the Critics’ Choice Awards and the infamous Razzies that honor the worst films of the season, are handed out. Let’s start with the Critics’ Choice Awards that crown again “12 years a slave” with twelve awards while “Gravity” gets seven. Here is a full list of winners:

Best Picture – 12 Years a Slave

Best Actress – Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine

Best Actor – Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club

Best Director – Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity

Best Original screenplay – Spike Jonze, Her

Best Adapted screenplay – John Ridley, 12 Years a Slave

Best Supporting actress – Lupita Nyong’o, 12 Years a Slave

Best Supporting actor – Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club

Best Acting Ensemble – American Hustle

Best Animated feature – Frozen

Best Foreign language film – Blue Is the Warmest Colour

Best Documentary feature – 20 Feet From Stardom

Best Comedy – American Hustle

Best Young actor/actress – Adele Exarchopoulos, Blue Is The Warmest Colour

Best Action movie – Lone Survivor

Best Actress in an action movie – Sandra Bullock, Gravity

Best Actor in an action movie – Mark Wahlberg, Lone Survivor

Best Actress in a comedy – Amy Adams, American Hustle

Best Actor in a comedy – Leonardo DiCaprio, The Wolf of Wall Street

Best Sci-fi/horror movie – Gravity

Best Editing – Alfonso Cuaron and Mark Sanger, Gravity

Best Cinematography – Emmanuel Lubezki, Gravity

Best Visual effects – Gravity

Best Art direction – Catherine Martin (production designer), Beverley Dunn (set decorator), The Great Gatsby

Best Costume design – Catherine Martin, The Great Gatsby

Best Hair and make-up – American Hustle

Best Score – Steven Price, Gravity

Best Song – Let It Go, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Frozen

We finish with the Razzies whose winners will be revealed on March 1st the day before the Academy Awards. Bad and slothful “Grown ups 2” the film with Adlam Sandler scored a leading eight nominations including worst movie. Among the actors Johnny Depp has been nominated while Selena Gomez e Lindsay Lohan stand out between actress.
